Father and Sons Campout 2009

On May 29th and 30th (yeah, still catching up) Wes and the boys headed up to Bear Canyon Lake for the Father and Sons camp out. Once again, the "BOYS" could hardly stand the wait. They were soooooo excited! It was really fun to watch them prepare and discuss all the things they wanted to do up there. Before they could leave, I made Weston inspect all the tires. I couldn't take another blow out on the rim like last year! Oh, my heart skips a beat just thinking about how dangerous that was. Thankfully this year was smooth sailing for the boys...well almost. Wes told me they all slept in the back of his truck with a tarp covering them. What they didn't expect is RAIN! Wes said by morning the tarp was pressed against his face from all the water on top. Needless to say, he didn't get much sleep again. Ha, ha!

They had such a great time spending time with friends, roasting marshmallows and getting VERY dirty of course. Check out those marshmallows! Yummmm! Just the way I like'em!

Weston made a quick stop at the lookout just before heading home. They had these cool binoculars for the kids to use which the boys loved.

No matter where this kid decides to "lounge" just kick'n it, his arms are always folded behind his head. He crosses his legs when he sits too! He's so grown up in his mannerisms at times and it totally cracks me up.

This was the last photo Wes took of the trip. Jalon, as you can see, is still stoked he has his precious pocket knife and Cole has simply had enough. "Can we go home now?"
