Morris Easter Egg Hunt

The Morris's have many family traditions going back half a century or more and one that my kids look forward to every year with eager anticipation is the Easter hunt out in the desert. I know it's not your traditional or even ideal location but the kids seem to enjoy it and it's nice for the adults too...if it's not too hot that is. Thankfully this year we were blessed with vintage Arizona weather that could not have been better and it was even green too! I don't remember a time when I've seen the desert so green. It was absolutely gorgeous!!!

So one of the best parts of the hunting of the eggs is finding the "lucky" Easter egg that has a nice money pot to go with it. As luck would have it...Jalon found the kids egg this year! Yeah baby! In addition to all the glory, he received a whopping 42 dollars. He was so excited!

My brother-in-law Spencer with the adults "lucky" egg just before he hid it.
I thought it was funny that Weston's cousin won the adults lucky egg hunt wearing this shirt. He was Mister "Lucky" alright taking home 100 buckaroos! Lucky dog!

Snuggling with Grandpa Morris.

Once all the eggs have been found the rest of the time is spent playing egg wars. Jalon had a blast challenging anyone willing. He did pretty good too until...Grandpa beat him. Oh, well. It was fun while it lasted.
Champion!

Cole's "self" portrait. He's so funny!

Until next year!!!
